How is Wilson County doing, measured the same way economists compare whole countries? We adapted Boston Consulting Group’s Sustainable Economic Development Assessment (SEDA) to the county level and scored Wilson on ten dimensions against all 254 Texas counties, using only public data.

The result: Wilson scores 58 out of 100, slightly below the Texas reference of 61, and ranks 94th of 254. The county is strong in household income, health coverage, and low debt, and it lags on local jobs, long commutes, and road safety.
